Hotel Axel, Barcelona

Friday, June 27th, 2008

A very good hotel in the centre of Barcelona which is straight friendly. Although we thought it was a little tired looking during our last visit, it is still worth a try. The staff are impeccably turned out, professional and friendly. Breakfast is a very interesting time, as you check out all those people who say goodbye over a croissant to last night’s trade. The occasional afternoon tea dance and the roof top bar and sun lounge make this a great place to rest from those very long evenings in Barcelona. Just remember, if you’re eating dinner before 11pm, you are to early!

Hotel Lux Isla - Ibiza

Friday, June 27th, 2008

One of the best places we stayed at in Ibiza. Spotless, friendly, close to Talamanca where many up and coming trendy restaurants and bars have opened. This is a nice relaxing hotel with friendly staff and good service. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. A small walk away is the beach and the ’shuttle boat’ that hops across to Ibiza Town.

A fantastic place to have the best of both worlds.  Partying and relaxation.  Take your pick.
